United Methodist Women

 

United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ. Our desire is to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. We love Christ, we love each other and we strive to do ALL that we can do.

 

The UMW has a general meeting for the whole unit with a program in January, May, September and November on the second Tuesday at 7:00 pm.  March is membership month, when we conduct the worship service for UMW Sunday, and have a Salad Supper the following Tuesday for new members.  July is Fun Nite and we usually go out to eat!

 

There are two very active Circles:

 

     Hope Circle meets the second Tuesday at 1:00 pm

     Faith Circle meets the third Tuesday at 7:00 pm

 

There are several fundraisers throughout the year including a big Yard Sale in May.  These events enable us to continue our mission work.
